Role of Staff in the Church

To Serve and Build
The goal of The Austin Stone staff is to serve and build up the church body. They do this by helping organize the work of ministry and carrying out the vision and direction of the elders.

Making Vision Practical
They are responsible for helping make our vision a practical reality. They help guide partners in
worshipping Christ, living in community, getting trained, and making disciples. While we have the same hope for all who come to The Austin Stone, ministers for children's and student's ministries encourage these things in age appropriate ways.

Service and Leadership
Like our elders and deacons, the staff offer spiritual and practical leadership and service to our Body. Their role is NOT to do all of the work of the church. Rather, it is to give the the Body what they need to do the work of ministry as Ephesians 4:11-13 describes.
